Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me — both as a legal obligation and as a matter of trust, since the work I do often begins with people sharing things they’ve told very few others. This policy explains, plainly, what information I collect through this website, why, who it’s shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to The Alchemy of You (operated by Laura Lee Look, LLC) and to the site at lauraleelook.com.
The short version
• I collect only what I need to answer your inquiry, book and hold your sessions, take payment, and stay in contact during your integration work.
• I use trusted service providers (my website host, scheduler, payment processor, and messaging tools) to run the practice. They handle your data on my behalf under their own privacy commitments.
• I do not sell your personal information, and I never will.
• You can ask me at any time to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you. The sections below give the full detail. Information I collect Information you give me directly.
• Through the contact form: your first name, last name, email address, and whatever you write in response to “What’s calling you here?”
• Through booking (Acuity Scheduling): your name, email, phone number, and your birth data — birth date, birth time, and birth place — which is required to calculate your chart. The booking form also asks what you’re hoping to explore together.
• Through payment (Stripe): the information needed to process your payment. I do not receive or store your full card number; that is handled directly and securely by Stripe.
• Through our correspondence and sessions: anything you choose to share by email, in voice or video messages, or during a reading or integration work. Information collected automatically.
When you visit the site, my website host (Squarespace) may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring links, using cookies and similar technologies. This is used to keep the site running, secure, and functional, and to understand in aggregate how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how parts of the site work. Sensitive information Some of what you share is personal in nature — your birth data, and anything you disclose about your life, health, relationships, or history in the course of an inquiry or a session. I treat this information as confidential. I do not disclose the content of our work, or the fact that you are a client, without your consent, except where I am required to by law.
Your birth data is used solely to calculate and interpret your chart. To calculate your chart, I enter your birth data — date, time, and place — into astrological calculation software. If you’d prefer that your name not be associated with your data in that software, let me know and I’ll enter it under a reference label instead. How I use your information I use the information I collect to: • respond to your inquiry and communicate with you;
• schedule, prepare for, and conduct your sessions; • calculate and interpret your chart;
• provide the ongoing voice and video contact that is part of your integration work;
• process payments and keep basic records of transactions;
• maintain, secure, and improve the website;
• meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
I rely on your information for these purposes because you’ve asked me to provide a service, because it’s necessary to run the practice, or because the law requires it. Who I share it with I don’t sell your personal information or share it for anyone else’s advertising.
I do rely on a small set of service providers who process information on my behalf so the practice can function. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
• Squarespace — website hosting and the contact form.
• Acuity Scheduling — appointment booking (a Squarespace company).
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Secure messaging and video-messaging services — the async voice and video messages we exchange during the 30-day integration window.
The messaging I use is end-to-end encrypted. From time to time, when it fits what you’re working through, I may also respond with a personalized recorded video that talks through your chart and your situation. These videos aren’t encrypted, but they are password-protected and kept private.
• Google Workspace (Gmail) — email correspondence.
• Astrological calculation software — chart calculation.
The specific providers I use may change over time as I refine my tools and practice. I may also disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of myself, my clients, or others. Email and newsletters If you sign up to hear from me, I’ll use your email address to send you my newsletter, writing, and occasional news about offerings. I add you to this list only if you’ve chosen to join it — I won’t add you just because you booked a session or sent an inquiry. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time. I don’t share or sell these email addresses to anyone. How long I keep your information I keep your information for as long as I need it for the purposes above — generally, for as long as we’re working together and for a reasonable period afterward, plus any longer period required for legal, tax, or accounting reasons. When it’s no longer needed, I delete or anonymize it. You can ask me to delete your information sooner (see below).
In the course of our work I also keep private notes, so I can hold your particular chart and situation accurately from session to session. These notes are kept confidential, used only for your work with me, and deleted or anonymized when they’re no longer needed. Your rights and choices You can ask me to:
• see the personal information I hold about you; • correct anything that’s inaccurate;
• delete your information;
• stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw consent you’ve given.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act; I’ll honor those rights as they apply to you. I won’t treat you differently for exercising them. Security I take reasonable measures to protect your information, and the providers I use maintain their own security safeguards. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security. Please use care in what you send over email or messaging. If a data breach occurs that affects your personal information, I will notify you, and any relevant authorities, as required by law, and take reasonable steps to address it. Children This website and my services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. I don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided me information, please contact me and I’ll delete it. Links to other sites The site may link to other websites (for example, a mentor’s site or a scheduling or payment page).
I’m not responsible for the privacy practices of sites I don’t operate. I’d encourage you to read their policies. Changes to this policy I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I’ll change the effective date at the top, and significant changes will be reflected here. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
